The safety of our ACA Students, Families and Staff is always our top priority. Due to uncertain inclement weather conditions from Hurricane Harvey, Austin Children’s Academy has delayed school by two hours on Monday, August 28, 2017. We will be opening two hours late tomorrow at 9:30am until otherwise notified.

We will continue to monitor Hurricane Harvey and developing weather conditions to determine how it could affect our campus. As of now, school hours of operation for Monday, Aug. 28, 2017 remains as scheduled from 7:30am – 6:00pm. We will continue to update all families and staff as the day continues. Please be safe and remain indoors as conditions outside may be hazardous.

Austin Children’s Academy is monitoring the severe weather from the Gulf of Mexico and Hurricane Harvey. At this time, school will resume for today, Friday, August 25th and will not close early. Normal school operations will start Monday, Aug. 28, 2017, as planned from 7:30am-6:00pm unless otherwise notified. ACA will inform parents of any changes through our website (AustinChildrensAcademy.org) and email addresses we have on file.
Inclement Weather Protocols
How is the decision made?
The decision to postpone or cancel classes due to inclement weather is based on analysis of all available information at the time the critical decision to delay or close schools must be made. ACA utilizes multiple resources to make this decision for the safety of our students and staff.
The information and sources considered include:
Consultations with local emergency management, law enforcement, local and national weather experts. In addition to monitoring local weather forecasts, Austin Children’s Academy coincides with Austin ISD, Round Rock ISD and Leander ISD for school delays and closures.
