Mother’s Day Out
Mother’s Day Out Program Overview
Austin Children’s Academy understands that all mothers work. Taking care of children is a full-time job, so whether you’re a working parent or a stay-at-home mom, you deserve a few hours to yourself.
Those hours of respite can be very hard to find. Friends and family might be able to pitch in, but perhaps you need a more structured schedule. Most daycare programs favor full-time boarders, so it can be difficult to find a part-time program that doesn’t require a considerable commitment of time and money.
About The Program
We provide a flexible schedule for kids from infancy to kindergarten age. Your child can attend for two days or three days, with extended-day, morning, and afternoon options for part-time students.
Some Austin parents use this program to fill in part-time daycare gaps. At-home parents use it to carve out time to buy holiday presents without the kids around, plan birthday parties, or get some serious food shopping done without interruption.
We are honored to have the opportunity to care for your child while you catch your breath, finally finish that home-improvement project, or socialize with humans who are more than three feet tall.

The Montessori Method
As a Montessori school, Austin Children’s Academy tailors our Mother’s Day Out program using the Montessori method of education.
During your children’s stay, fully trained and certified teachers will develop a specialized curriculum for your child’s specific educational and developmental needs.
Through keen observation and tailored guidance, our teachers will ensure that your child is having fun and learning at the same time. We even offer a Spanish Immersion program for children from infancy to kindergarten age.
Socialization
The Mother’s Day Out program is also an ideal way to ease preschool children into the idea of school before they begin a longer program or full-time kindergarten.
The transition to “Big Kid School” becomes easier if they’ve already acclimated to the schedule, the space, and how to socialize with their peers. Socialization is an important part of early childhood development, and one of the many developmental stages that Montessori teachers track.
