Austin Children’s Academy is pleased to announce another onsite Music Day, filled with fun instruction and child-oriented live performance. Students will have the opportunity to learn a little about music, the instruments that make it, and even get the opportunity to make some music of their own.
Music Days in the past have been held in the ACA activity room. We are pleased to announce that this month’s Music Day will be held in our new, state-of-the-art recording studio, where the kids will be able to play an instrument or sing into the microphone and hear themselves as they would sound as a rockstar.
The Montessori Method is all about educating children with an emphasis on real-world applications as well as the classroom learning that they will experience throughout life. Music is an integral part of daily life, heard everywhere from the radio to television to the aisles in the grocery store. Children are born with a natural rhythm and can be seen bouncing to the beat of a song as soon as they are able to walk, so we find it important that students be aware of the techniques used to create this powerful medium.
Music Day will be held on Wednesday, August 31st. Our instructors are a combination of volunteering parents and musically trained staff members, so if you would like to get involved please contact us by calling at 512.331.2075 or emailing at info@austinchildrensacademy.org. We look forward to seeing you there!
