August 11th and 12th mark ACA’s annual Splash Days, where kids can have fun in the sun without suffering in the brutal Texas heat. Playing outside is necessary in the development of a child, improving their social skills and coordination while having an added bonus for parents: the kids fall asleep in no time.
Splash Day is always a huge hit with the kids and the ACA family. Pools, sprinklers, and other water elements are set up outside and the kids are allowed to run around and play in the water as much as they want. The play area will feel like a water park to them and, as always, our wonderful instructors will be right by them to smooth out any booboos or other issues that arise.
The two-day-long event is separated by ages so that the smaller students won’t be left behind or hurt when the bigger kids inevitably start playing just a little too rough. Thursday the 11th is reserved for the Toddler classes and Primary gets to play on Friday the 12th.
Parents, please make sure that your child is prepared for a day of outside play. We will try to keep students in the shade as much as possible, but the sun beats down this time of year and we suggest that students are equipped with sunscreen, especially for the kids with fairer skin. In addition, bathing suits are a must. If a kid doesn’t have their suit, they may not be allowed to participate.
