8th Annual Green Market Festival

On Saturday, April 25th, 2015 from 10AM-2PM, Austin Children’s Academy will host their 8th Annual Green Market Festival. The Annual Festival is meant to promote green living, provide free fun for North and Central Austin families, & support local businesses. ALL proceeds will be donated to the South and Central Texas Make-A-Wish Foundation in order to reach their yearly fundraising goal of $5,000 for a special Austin Make-A-Wish Family!  Current Festival Partners include Round Rock Express, Austin Aztex, Texas Stars, iFly, Yes! Fitness, Races 2 U, H-E-B Plus, Rocketfizz Soda, Lakeside Pizza, & more. The ACA mission is to uplift and strengthen the North Austin community through providing unique interactive events for families to support local businesses and give back to charitable organizations.

This event is free and open to the public. Festivities will include carnival games, bounce houses, face painting, special guest appearances from the Austin athletic associations, and more. There will be opportunities to win raffle items at each event as well as snacks and refreshments available. About Make-A-Wish® Central & South Texas

Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. According to a 2011 U.S. study of wish impact, most health professionals surveyed believe a wish-come-true can have positive impacts on the health of children. Kids say wishes give them renewed strength to fight their illness, and their parents say these experiences help strengthen the entire family. With the help of generous donors and more than 250 volunteers, Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas has granted more than 4,000 wishes to children in 40 counties since 1984. During the last year, volunteers and donors made it possible for 233 kids to experience the magic of a wish.
