Austin Children’s Academy will operate on a NORMAL schedule Wednesday, January 17, 2018. This decision comes after consulting with LISD and RRISD, local emergency services officials and the National Weather Service. All ACA classes and programs, including after-school programs will continue as normally scheduled.

We look forward to welcoming our ACA families and students back to school for a great day of learning. While the weather and the roads appear to be in better condition, we still continue to expect cold temperatures. Please use caution during your morning commute.​
 

Inclement Weather Protocols

How is the decision made?

The decision to postpone or cancel classes due to inclement weather is based on analysis of all available information at the time the critical decision to delay or close schools must be made. ACA utilizes multiple resources to make this decision for the safety of our students and staff. 

The information and sources considered include:

Consultations with local emergency management, law enforcement, local and national weather experts. In addition to monitoring local weather forecasts, Austin Children’s Academy coincides with Austin ISD, Round Rock ISD and Leander ISD for school delays and closures.
