Montessori Certified Spanish Immersion

“I haven’t received enough of this great educational philosophy because this profession is a never-ending fountain of knowledge.”

Ms. Rocio

Dear Austin Children’s Academy Families,

I want to express that I am so happy for this opportunity to work and represent ACA. My commitment to you is to guide your children to learn and acquire Spanish as a Second Language with a joy and love for learning! Our children are our inspiration. They fill us with energy and happiness. It is amazing that they know how to wake up every morning with a “fresh start” while eager to start learning.

As you know, the Montessori Educational Philosophy changes lives, and mine was transformed in 1980 when I started my training in Mexico City, Mexico. I am AMI certified and I worked closely with International Trainer, Dr. Silvia Duvoboy, a prestigious educator with the Worldwide Montessori Movement. I have been teaching in both languages, English and Spanish for 20 years in 3 different countries (Mexico, Costa Rica and USA); I would say “I haven’t received enough of this great educational philosophy because this profession is a never-ending fountain of knowledge.”

Thirteen of these twenty years of experience have been in the U.S. (Phoenix, AZ, McKinney, Dallas and now Austin, TX). I will be relocating from San Antonio and looking forward to my new home at ACA. I am so proud to now be an American Citizen. Teaching is my way to contribute to our beautiful country.

Sharing a little more about myself, I can say that I am so fortunate to have a large and wonderful family. I am the 10th of 11 children and please take a look at my family picture. Now with our ACA community, my family will grow in size significantly!

My favorite activities are traveling, riding a bike, desserts, dogs, nature and interior design television shows. I collect magnets and mugs from different countries, cities, and museums that I visit.

The best part of my teaching experience is when children express that they learned and discovered work by themselves; when they can say to their parents that their best friend at school is me; and when they grow up they want to be a teacher. In conclusion, I just want to witness how the Montessori education is the best method for our children. Montessori children can make all the difference in this world.

Warmest regards,

Ms. Rocio Alcazar Cruzaley
